College Research Reflection
From my research, I learned many things about what different colleges would be like in both the classroom and outside of the classroom as well. I learned that all colleges have different focuses on what they are teaching in their school. The three colleges I researched were University of Houston, Clemson University, and University of Texas. In these schools I saw different classes that I would be interested in taking and also what the student life would be like while I am living on the campus.
The University of Houston is located in Houston, Texas and is convenient for me because it is right in my hometown so I wouldn’t have to worry about growing home sick and not being familiar with my surroundings. I am interested in their journalism major there because if I choose to pursue a career in writing for a magazine or newspaper I could definitely find it easy to settle in U of H for studying in this field. The University also has a very attractive student life for me which will most likely be a huge factor in my experience at any school. The campus has many things to be a part of during my time there including sporting events, concert venues, recreational facilities and Greek life as well. Over all I believe I would enjoy my time at U of H if that is where I choose to spend my college years there.
Clemson was also on my college research. At Clemson I would like to major in psychology, I have always been interested in psychology because I have been fascinated by what goes on in our minds other than what we show on the outside and how we use the things that we know to our advantage in everyday life and in special situations where we are required to think in different ways than we normally would. The campus life is very nice and urban, with there being many students that I would be able to meet. Another reason I would very much like to go to this is school is because of their soccer program that they have there. They have a men’s soccer team that competes nationally on the college level which is very hard to find in universities in the U.S.
The next school i researched was the University of Texas @ Austin. The real reason that i even looked into this college was mainly because my family likes this college and would prefer me to go here apart from any other college. The reason for this is because of the Law school that is there. My family have always wanted me to be part of law enforcement or a person who works for the FBI. Basically put, they want me to be a cop. But the thing is I dont really have the desire to do this for a living, and also i dont really think that University of Texas is really the school for me after researching it.

Reflection Letter
When I first wrote the letter that we wrote to ourselves at the beginning of the year I thought that it was just going to be another stressful year of just doing nothing but school work 24/7. In the letter I wrote to myself that I wasnt sure what i was going to do or what i would be doing in the future. But now that the year is coming to an end and i know now what ive done and how the year turned out being, I can look back at this letter and realize that what i had thought was actually further from the truth that i had thought before. I thought that this year was going to be another year of me stressing out and not being able to get my work done and just barely making it by in my classes. Now, i see that this was one of my best years if not the best of school years academically. I have been consistantly making As and Bs all year and have even been able to make room for having fun times with all of my friends and even find a nice relationship this year too. When i wrote this letter i never that i would have been able to make it onto the soccer team and that we were going to make it all the ways to the playoffs in our first year of being together. Overall i think that this was a good year for me at International. I look forward to the things to come next year in my final year here as a senior.
